Latin America
Our department has a deep interest in the politics and development of Latin America. Faculty and students here study issues including colonialism, federalism, conflict, party politics, democratic and other patterns of representation, regional integration and human rights, psychology and electoral behavior as they apply to the region. While our interests cover countries throughout the Americas, our faculty have special expertise on the politics of Central America, the Andean Community, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, and Argentina.
