Political Theory
Our Political Theory faculty has particular strengths in classical political thought, early modern and modern political thought, comparative political theory, philosophy of social science, political philosophy, democratic theory, and contemporary and feminist theory. We maintain close ties with other subfields in Political Science (especially in the areas of international relations theory and American political development). We encourage students to undertake interdisciplinary and internationally inflected research with cooperating faculty in Philosophy, Comparative Literary Studies, Rhetoric and Public Culture, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Critical Theory and Classics.
