Democratic Global Performance Indicators as upholders of a standard of society? The case of Freedom House.

Dissertation Committee:  Stephen C. Nelson (chair), Daniel Krcmaric, James Mahoney, and Andrew Roberts.

Research Interest(s): My research studies how global democratic indicators and international benchmarks generate social pressure, shape state reputation, and influence both foreign policy and political preferences toward incumbents, drawing on observational, experimental, and qualitative data.
